Non-small Cell Lung Cancer & Small Cell Lung Cancer
When lung cells become abnormal and start to grow out of control, lung cancer happens. Just like other cancer cells, the abnormal lung cells will get into a tumor and spread to other tissues and areas of the body. There are two types of lung cancers---non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Non-small cell lung cancer Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a type of epithelial lung cancer. It is accounting for about 85% of all lung cancer types. When it is possible, non-small cell lung cancer can be treated by surgical resection with curative intent. Symptoms Many non-small cell lung cancers do not cause any symptoms before their spread. However, some people with early non-small cell lung cancers have some obvious symptoms, including: 1.Serious cough 2.Coughing blood or rust-colored sputum 3.Chest pain while deep breathing, coughing or laughing 4.Hoarseness 5.Weight loss and loss of appetite 6.Shortness of breath 7.Tired or week 8.Bronchitis and pneumonia and other infections 9.New onset of wheezing Research According to studies by scientists, non-small cell lung cancers can be divided into many types, including lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cell lung carcinoma and large-cell lung carcinoma. And through recent researches, HCC-78 has great potential for studying lung cancers. Small cell lung cancer Small cell lung cancer is a kind of aggressive type of cancer, which has the ability to grow and spread much faster than NSCLC. And the most effective way to reduce the risk of causing SCLC is to quit smoking and to avoid secondhand smoke. Symptoms Just like NSCLC, SCLC is also usually asymptomatic. Once the symptoms become obvious, it indicates that the cancer has invaded other parts of the body. Some symptoms are listed below: 1.Bloody mucus 2.Shortness of breath 3.Wheezing 4.Chest pain or discomfort 5.A persistent cough or hoarseness 6.Loss of appetite and weight loss 7.Fatigue and facial swelling Research There are some paraneoplastic syndromes, including lung, combined small-cell lung carcinoma, extrapulmonary small-cell carcinoma, extrapulmonary small-cell carcinoma and small-cell carcinoma of the prostate. There are two types of treatment---LS-SCLC and ES-SCLC. Non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer are very common among cancers. According to the statistics, the number of patients with non-small cell lung cancer & small cell lung cancer accounts for 90% among cancer patients. Other related tumor cells M-07e KYSE-150
